Highland picked up a win in their first league volleyball match of the 2016 season by topping Fredericktown on the road by scores of 25-19, 25-17 and 25-12 on Tuesday.

Ashton Terrill tallied 14 kills to pace the Scots, while Taylor Belcher added eight kills and five aces. Raina Terry added five kills, while both Bailey Santo and Kelsey Walters had four. The JV and freshman teams also won.

Cardington Pirates

Cardington got into the win column in volleyball on Tuesday with a 21-25, 25-12, 25-19, 25-21 win over Clear Fork.

Jordan Deskins had 10 kills for the Pirates, while Paige Clinger added eight and both MaKenna McClure and Racheal Rees had seven. Marissa Hall finished with 28 assists and Rylie Partlow had 23 digs. The JV Pirates also claimed victory.

Northmor Knights

Northmor’s volleyball team moved to 3-0 with a 25-8, 22-25, 27-25, 25-22 win over North Union Tuesday.

Jordyn Zoll had 27 assists for the Knights, while Caitlin Thebeault had 11 assists, two aces and two blocks. Anna Donner had 19 kills and two aces, while Kelsie Fike picked up 13 kills. Hope Miracle added six kills and three blocks and Rayanna Loyer tallied four kills. Also, Lindsey Wiseman was a perfect 20-20 serving. The JV team also won on the night.
