Chesterville
Parade forms at 8:30 at the old Chesterville school grounds and begins at 9:00 am. It will proceed to Maple Grove Cemetery. Services will begin at 10:00 am at Maple Grove Cemetery. Should inclement weather prevent such activities, parade participants and attendees should gather at the maintenance facility at the cemetery. Seating is provided
Cardington
Rick Jones, retired teacher who has interviewed and written about many US service veterans, will be the speaker when Cardington holds its annual Memorial Day program at Glendale Cemetery.
The event will begin with a parade that will organize at 12:45 p.m. at the post home on Park Avenue. It will be led by the Cardington-Lincoln High School marching band directed by John Brehm, color guards from Post 97, Unit 97 and Squadron 97. The parade will step off at 1 p.m. and pause at the Veterans Park.
Gilead Township
Memorial Day Services will be held at Bryn Zion Cemetery located at 5520 Co. Rd. 240 in Mt. Gilead at 10:30 a.m. on May 30. Veterans of all wars and conflicts are encouraged to attend and join in the ceremony. In case of rain, the ceremony will be held in the Church. Questions can be answered by Ric Lyle at 419-546-5438.
Mount Gilead
The village’s parade forms at 12:30 p.m. at Cherry Street. The parade will commence at 1 p.m.
Johnsville
The Memorial Day events in Johnsville begin at 1:30 p.m. on May 29 at Shauck Cemetery and continue to North Fork Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
Iberia
Iberia will hold a Memorial Day community breakfast from 7 – 10 a.m. at Cramer Community Center. Parade begins at 2:45 p.m. and will commence at 3 p.m. in Iberia Cemetery.
Fulton
Jerry Stephens, pastor of the Vineyard Church of Morrow County will be the speaker when Fulton holds its annual Memorial Day program at the Fulton Cemetery.
The parade will be led by the color guards from Post 97, Squadron 97 and Unit 97 and The Cardington-Lincoln High School marching band directed by John Brehm.
The band will also play special music during the program The parade will organize at 9:30 am at the village post office. Units participating are asked to be there no later than 9:30 a.m. It will step off at 10 a.m.
