The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office has been alerted of two telephone scams that are targeting area residents.

A caller has been falsely stating that he is from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Division, and that they have an outstanding warrant for a family member.

He continues stating payment to the sheriff’s office is required to avoid their arrest.

A caller from the additional scam, states that he is from the International Association of Chiefs of Police and is requesting monetary donations for families of fallen officers.

The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office urges residents who receive the calls to not devulge any financial information to the other party.
