NEWARK, Ohio – New students may be eligible for scholarships to engineering technology associate degree programs this autumn at Central Ohio Technical College (COTC).

A total of 50 individual scholarships at $2,200 each are available for the 2015-2016 academic year through designated funding at COTC. The college admission application serves as the student’s application for this scholarship. The student must indicate a first major choice as one of five engineering technology programs: civil, electrical, mechanical, architectural and/or manufacturing technology. The free admission application is available online at www.cotc.edu/apply.

“The college is excited to offer these scholarships for the first time this academic year,” stated Ron Scozzari, dean of business, engineering and information technologies at COTC. “With a heavy focus around the state and the nation on STEMM fields, engineering technology offers several career pathways in rewarding fields.”

Scholarships are awarded to students as they are admitted until all 50 awards are accepted, prior to autumn semester start on August 26, 2015. All students are encouraged to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to maximize their overall financial aid eligibility at www.fafsa.gov. For more information about paying for your education, contact the COTC Financial Aid office at 740-366-9435 or go to www.cotc.edu.
