The Ohio State University Men’s Glee Club will present a concert on Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Gay Street United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon. The concert is a free event, and will be performed by Glee Club under the direction of Dr. Robert Ward. The program will begin at 7 p.m. and since there are NO tickets or reserved seating, come early for a good seat. This will be the Glee Club’s fourth visit to Knox County in recent years, and it is always well received.

The Ohio State University Men’s Glee Club is a brotherhood that commits itself to excellence through artistry, achievement in academics, and outreach to the community. The men have been sharing music with the OSU campus, community and around the world since 1875. They are active throughout the year with multiple concerts on and off campus and frequent trips both within the US and abroad. The Glee Club can be found on football Saturdays entertaining tailgaters and fans at the Ohio Union and on the field with the Marching Band. This past January they performed at Lincoln Center in New York City.

This performance is being sponsored by the OSU Alumni Club of Knox County and the Community Foundation of Mount Vernon and Knox County. The Community Concert Association of Knox County is also providing assistance. A free-will donation will be collected to support the Men’s Glee Club and also the Alumni Club’s efforts in providing scholarship money. Next year five local OSU students will receive financial assistance from the club.
