MOUNT GILEAD — A flood warning remains in effect for Morrow County until 5:30 p.m. today.

Heavy rain overnight has resulted in high water on roads and in shallow area such as parks. Rivers, streams and creeks will rise rapidly due to heavy runoff from saturated and still-frozen ground.

The flood warning includes Morrow, Richland, Knox, Marion and Crawford counties.

Many areas have already received over an inch of rain, with additional moderate to heavy rainfall expected throughout the day.

A cold front is expected to push through the area later today, which will gradually reduce the rainfall intensity. Until that time, an additional inch of rain is possible with locally-higher amounts.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely.
