The maple syrup is flowing and for the 42nd year, the Lutheran Memorial Camp will host the Maple Syrup Festival March 13.

The festival will run from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the camp’s grounds, 2790 State Route 61, Fulton. All proceeds support the camp’s “Campership Program,” which assures that “all kids can go to camp.”

All-you-can-eat pancakes and maple infused sausage will be enjoyed with the background music of Avalon Nine. There will be a naturalist to help guests identify and tap maple trees and help collect the sap. Visits can also be made to the Sugar Bush where guests can help to determine the difference between non-maple syrup and “The Real McCoy.”

Maple donuts and sassafras tea can be sampled and local maple syrup, fresh maple baked goods and sweet treats can be purchased from the kitchen where gluten free is also available.

The camp is located five miles north of Interstate 71 on State Route 61. For more information on this and other activities at the LMC, visit their website at www.lomocamps.org of call 419-864-8030.
