The Morrow County Community Center’s fifth annual ‘Chili Cook-Off’ is taking place March 13 at Seniors on Center.

The event will feature entertainment from the Whetstone Copy Cats, DJ Roger Wren and Line Dancing.

The event will be held at Seniors on Center in Mount Gilead from 4-6 p.m. Cook off co-chair, Rosemary Levings said the committee is looking forward to a variety of Chili recipes that will be judged for “The Spiciest,” “The Most Unique” and the “Best Traditional.”

Those who attend will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite to name the “Best of Show.” There will be a first place trophy for each of the four categories and a second place medal for each category. Entrants are to provide their own crock pot of chili, serving spoon and toppings such as crackers, corn bread, chips, cheese, peppers, onion, sour cream, etc.

Those attending can also enter to win a six-month MCCC membership and door prizes.
