* TOUR POSTPONED – Janet Jackson recently announced that her upcoming tour, which includes a stop in Columbus, has been postponed due to a surgery. All concert dates on her tour will reportedly be rescheduled.

* RHODES TOUR CLIMB PLANNED – Kick your New Year’s resolutions into high gear with a climb up the Rhodes Tower. Winter workouts don’t need to be mundane, and putting a milestone in sight will keep you sticking to your goals during the cold months of winter. A unique endurance event, the American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb is 40 flights up the Rhodes Tower on Feb. 20 – that’s 880 steps! Participants can scale the building individually or as part of a team.

The American Lung Association in Ohio’s 2016 Fight for Air Climb is sponsored by Nationwide Children’s. Registration is $35 per participant, or $25 early registration before December 31st. * EINSTEIN TALK PLANNED – The George W. and Mildred K. White Science Lecture Series at Otterbein University will present a free public lecture by Nobel Prize winner Dr. William D. Phillips at 7 p.m. on Feb. 18, in the Battelle Fine Arts Center, 170 W. Park St. Phillips will discuss “Time, Einstein and the coolest stuff in the universe.” This will be a lively, multimedia presentation, including experimental demonstrations and down-to-earth explanations about some of today’s most exciting science.
