Jim Clinger, retiring after serving the Cardington-Lincoln Board of Education for 24 years, was honored Monday evening, December 14, during a reception held for him in the school library.

Clinger, whose terms spanned that of three superintendents, was given a plaque of recognition by Superintendent Brian Petrie.

Also attending was retired Superintendent Pat Drouhard.

Clinger, who was elected on November 5, 1991, began his terms of service in January, 1992.

Current board members, Pat Clark, Marilyn Davis, Vicki Kerman, Chuck Jones, president and Jon Mason, treasurer, expressed their appreciation to Clinger for his dedication and support of the district.

The reception, open to the public was attended by many residents, faculty members and others from the school.
