Are you ready for that important interview coming up? Well members of the Highland FFA are!

Fifteen members competed Tuesday, October 15 in a practice interview. With the help of their FFA advisors they prepared a resume and a cover letter before hand.

At the contest each individual was taken to a room and filled out a job application. After that they were on to the actual interview, where each grade level had a different judge. To finish off the contest they had to write a follow up letter thanking the interviewer for their time.

Participating in this CDE will give someone a little knowledge of what a real life job interview situation, help with public speaking skills. In each grade level one member from Highland FFA advanced to the sub-district contest. These students were Bridget Oder, Hannah Williams, Luke Wenger, and Karsten Bumpus.

Bridget was the highest scoring participant at the county contest and placed first at the sub district contest. She then moved on to the district job interview contest where she placed second.
