Local Attorney Andrew Wick has announced he will seek the Republican Nomination for Morrow County Prosecuting Attorney in the upcoming March 15th Primary.

Wick, a fourth generation Morrow County resident, graduated in 2004 from Mount Gilead High School before attending Ohio Northern University where he earned his law degree. Andrew returned to Mount Gilead with his wife, Laura, to join his father, Donald Wick in practice at the law office his grandfather, Dale Hildebrand, opened in the early 50’s.

Since returning to Morrow County, Wick has continued to be a volunteer American Red Cross instructor, been given the Heart of Hospice Award from Morrow County Hospice for his legal volunteer work with patients, and has served on a number of local organization’s boards.

Wick, who recently became a father, notes that he, like most parents, wants his child to live in a safe, and protected community. If elected, Wick says he will strive to develop a more efficient and effective relationship with the local law enforcement agencies to attack drug addiction and related crimes as well as crimes against the youth, elderly, and infirmed in part by carrying a full felony caseload and appearing in court daily. Keeping open communication and providing timely responses for the township trustees is also another prosecutorial goal.

Wick welcomes the opportunity to speak with any individuals or groups and invites those interested in learning more or volunteering to his campaign to visit his political Facebook page www.facebook.com/citizensforwick where he will post appearances and other information regarding his campaign.
