The Morrow Soil and Water Conservation District cordially invites you to their 66th Annual Meeting and Fish Fry to be held at the American Legion Hall in Cardington. The date for this year’s meeting is Saturday, December 5th.

The all-you-can-eat fish fry will be served with baked potato, coleslaw, applesauce, rolls, desert, and beverage from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. cost of the dinner ticket is only $5.00 per person thanks to Ag Credit of Mount Gilead; Central Ohio Farmer’s Co-op, Inc., Mt. Gilead Branch; Crop Production Services, Edison Branch; Farm Credit Services of Mid America; POET Bio-Refining, Marion; Broerman Insurance Agency, Fredericktown; Morral Companies, Caledonia; Tidy Tim’s Inc.; Carrol and Jeannine Gleason; and the Morrow SWCD Board of Supervisors who are sponsoring the Annual Meeting and Banquet. The annual meeting and fish fry is open to the public and anyone interested is welcome to attend.

This year’s banquet entertainment will be Jim Greer and the Mac-O-Chee Valley Folks. These folks originally formed their group in the late 1950’s and perform both Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel Music. Their music features guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, bass, autoharp, and a close blend of three-part harmony.

Another important feature of the evening will be the election of one member to the Morrow SWCD Board of Supervisors to serve a three-year term beginning January 1, 2016. Anyone 18 years of age or older living or owning property in Morrow County is eligible to vote. This is your opportunity to provide direction to the soil and water conservation efforts in Morrow County.

The Morrow SWCD Cooperator of the Year Award will be presented to a deserving conservation cooperator, honoring them for their accomplishments in the conservation of our natural resources. And as always, door prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the evening.

The Morrow SWCD Supervisors and staff sincerely hope you and your family will join us, along with your friends and neighbors, on the first Saturday night in December.
