Early deadline for Sentinel
Due to no mail delivery on Nov. 11 (Veterans Day), the Morrow County Sentinel will go to press Monday morning, Nov. 9. All news items must be received by Sunday to be considered for that edition of the Sentinel.
Bloodmobile being held at Hospital Nov. 4
The American Red Cross invites residents to celebrate this Thanksgiving by donating blood at one of their next bloodmobiles. You can give at the Morrow County Hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Humane Society of Morrow County Rummage Sale Nov. 6
The Humane Society of Morrow County will hold its annual Rummage Sale Friday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 16 S. Main Street, Mount Gilead (old photography studio). Shoppers can also purchase baked goods and participate in raffles. HSofMC would appreciate donations for the sale. Donations can be delivered to 16 S. Main Street on Thursday, Nov. 5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 6 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. If you have questions, contact [email protected] or call 419-947-5791, option 1.
Monthly Tie Day is November 9
Snuggled in Hope Quilts will have the monthly Tie Day on Monday, November 9 from 9-3. We are working on quilts to donate to the children who will attend camp sessions at Flying Horse Farms during summer of 2016. Volunteers are always needed and appreciated.
Last annual Flu Clinic is Nov. 9
Fall is here! And with it, Influenza (the flu virus)… the Morrow County Health Department will host our last Annual Flu Clinic on Monday, Nov. 9 from 4 – 7 pm, at 619 West Marion Rd, Door C (Health Department Clinic). PERI meets next on November 10
This is a reminder and an invitation to the PERI Chapter #73, Morrow Co. Meeting, Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 8 am, Morrow County Hospital, Lower Level Meeting Room A, Mt. Gilead. Breakfast is $5 per person. Spouses are welcome. Our next speaker will be Commissioner Dick Miller. If you are able to attend, please be sure to call our President Joe Hamilton (419-946-1417) by Monday, Nov. 9 to reserve your breakfast. (If you can only attend the meeting, it will begin at 8:30 a.m.)
No Limits to hold coat drive
No Limits Outreach Center is preparing for the holidays. Each year we draw 50 families for our holiday give a way. In 2014 we served 193 people with gifts and food. Each family will receive food to make a holiday meal. This year we have decided to do a coat drive. We will accept COATS ONLY for any Morrow County resident in need. We will not accept any other items. Please help us help Morrow County residents. Money, food and coat donations are greatly appreciated. Items may be dropped off at 4046 Vine St, Edison, Ohio between 9 am to 3 pm Monday thru Friday. 419-946-5900
Dance held every Saturday in Marion
A Dance is held each Saturday from 7-11 p.m. at Sawyer Ludwig Park in the Shrine Building at 1313 White Oaks Rd., Marion. Admission is $8 for adults. No dance will be held Aug. 8 and 15 but will resume Aug 22 and 29. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are available. No smoking.
