Gerald and Pauline Matson of Mt. Gilead will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on November 11, 2015.
The former Pauline Rathburn and Gerald R. Matson were married November 11, 1945 in Mt. Gilead at the home of the bride’s parents, Frank and Alta Rathburn. The Rev. Dale W. Riggs officiated at the ceremony.
Gerald and Pauline have two daughters, Bonnie Waldbauer and Jill McNeil, both of Galion; and four sons, Richard (Nancy) of London, OH; Steven (Vicki); Bruce (Cathy); and Joseph (Sheryl), all of Mt. Gilead. They also have15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Gerald and Pauline have lived their whole married life in Mt. Gilead and are members of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Gilead.
