Dog shelter’s Uncaged Comedy event postponed

The Friends of the Morrow County Dog Shelter is postponing its Uncaged Comedy event, which had been scheduled for Nov. 7. Ticket sales have been very low due to a conflict with the Ohio State football game, and there were other unanticipated issues. Tickets already sold WILL be honored at the re-scheduled event in July, 2016. Anyone who bought tickets, or made an auction item donation, will be contacted by the group for a refund, or return of their item, if desired. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Board of Morrow County Commissioners will be holding a Special Session on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. in regards to the Tax Incentive Review Council.

Bloodmobile being held at Hospital Nov. 4

The American Red Cross invites residents to celebrate this Thanksgiving by donating blood at one of their next bloodmobiles. You can give at the Morrow County Hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Humane Society of Morrow County Rummage Sale Nov. 6

The Humane Society of Morrow County will hold its annual Rummage Sale Friday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 16 S. Main Street, Mount Gilead (old photography studio). Shoppers can also purchase baked goods and participate in raffles. HSofMC would appreciate donations for the sale. Donations can be delivered to 16 S. No Limits to hold coat drive

No Limits Outreach Center is preparing for the holidays. Each year we draw 50 families for our holiday give a way. In 2014 we served 193 people with gifts and food. Each family will receive food to make a holiday meal. This year we have decided to do a coat drive. We will accept COATS ONLY for any Morrow County resident in need. We will not accept any other items. Please help us help Morrow County residents. Money, food and coat donations are greatly appreciated. Items may be dropped off at 4046 Vine St, Edison, Ohio between 9 am to 3 pm Monday thru Friday. 419-946-5900

Dance held every Saturday in Marion

A Dance is held each Saturday from 7-11 p.m. at Sawyer Ludwig Park in the Shrine Building at 1313 White Oaks Rd., Marion. Admission is $8 for adults. No dance will be held Aug. 8 and 15 but will resume Aug 22 and 29. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are available. No smoking.
