Mount Gilead High School will present the Broadway Musical Sponge Bob Square Pants March 18, 19 and 20. The musical is based on the series by Stephen Hillenburg and the book by Kyle Jarrow.
The production is directed by Cierra Ward and Jeremy Barr.
“Sponge Bob, his team and all of Bikini Bottom come face to face with the possible destruction of their homes and lives. When all hope seems lost a hero emerges to leap into action. Exciting, fast-paced, toe-tapping songs and humor are for everyone,” the announcement states.
Performances will be March 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. and March 20 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for general admission. Adult tickets are $12 and student tickets $10. Doors will open 30 minutes before the show begins.
Each performance will have a 15 minute intermission. Light refreshments will be available for a donation. Carnations will also be available for a favorite student.
