Gilead Christian School hosts annual “See You at the Pole” prayer event

Gilead Christian School was excited to host their annual “See You at the Pole” at both of their campuses.

The turnout was high with both students and parents along with the staff gathering around the flag pole to pray. SYATP was started in 1990 by a group of 10 students who met together at the flag pole of their school and had a simple prayer of intervention for their friends, family, school faculty, government, and their own simple needs.

Twenty-five years later this group of 10 students has turned into a national event with over a million students gathering around the flag pole just like that first day. At the elementary campus, they were privileged to have Mayor Mike Porter in attendance representing the community of Mt. Gilead.

Thank you, Mayor Porter, for your attendance at this event. Thank you to all those who made this a successful morning of prayer and thanksgiving for our community.
