Continuing a tradition, the Cardington Rotary Club distributed dictionaries to more than 90 Cardington-Lincoln third grade students.

Gil Ullom, Cardington Rotarian, who coordinates the project, spoke to the students and advised them to write their first and last names inside the covers of their dictionaries. “Leave them at school,” he further advised, “and they will be there when you need them.”

Students receiving the dictionaries are in the classes of Dawn Ruehrmund, Janet Sedlacek, Cindi Eyman and Michelle Goughenour.

Devin Cox, a third grade student, commented, “I will use the dictionary if I’m stuck and don’t know what a word means.”

Madilee Sherman said, “They can help me learn,” and Zay Nippert announced “They are cool. It will help me spell better.”

Logan Reynolds added, “I really like it. I will look up words with it.”

The Cardington Rotary Club has donated dictionaries for over ten years. Ullom is treasurer of the club.
