09/22/2015- A Tuesday afternoon crash injured three people on Twp. Rd 126 just north of the Morrow County Airport about 5:00 p.m. You can view a short video of the aftermath HERE.

Witnesses at the scene say the driver of a silver Chevrolet sedan almost hit another vehicle head-on before losing control and rolling several times, coming to rest on its top off the west side of the roadway. Five people between the ages of 12 and 19 were in the vehicle. Two were airlifted from the scene by MedFlight and Air Evac LifeTeam, and one was transported to Morrow County Hospital with leg injuries.

The state patrolman at the scene said alcohol does not appear to be a factor but excessive speed is, and seat belts were not in use.

Assisting the Highway Patrol at the scene was Morrow County EMS, the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office and the Mt. Gilead Fire Department. Norm’s Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.

This information is preliminary and will be updated when a report is obtained from Post 59 of the Ohio State Patrol.
