Plans were made for the Veterans Day dinner when members of Jenkins-Vaughan Auxiliary Unit 97 met in October.
The dinner will be served Monday, Nov. 11, at the post home and will be catered by Raymond James Catering of Columbus. Members of the unit will help serve and cleanup following the dinner. Brenda Morse is in charge of this committee.
Morse reported on the recent Sixth District Mid-Winter Conference held in Columbus noting that money is being raised for the filling of fruit baskets that will be raffled at the Mid-Winter Conference to be held in December.
She said the attendance at Buckeye Girls State next summer will be limited to 854 girls.
It was reported that 11 women transferred from the Marengo Unit to Cardington Unit 97. Included were Morse and Bethany Peaks, both of whom attended this meeting.
A thank you was received from the Veterans Council of Morrow County.
Those attending the unit’s November 19 meeting are asked to bring donations to the Food Pantry.
