The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War Tent 91 Galion, met for the first time in 2019 at the home of Judy Sanders on Tuesday, Feb. 5. New president, Donna Yaussy, was in charge of the meeting.
It was reported that four members, Judy Sanders, Cathy Brown, Melanie Baker and Janice Cass, traveled to the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio to participate in Wreaths Across America in December 2018.
They attended the Lincoln Day Dinner on Sunday, Feb. 10 at Grotto Hall, hosted by McLaughlin Camp 12 SUVCW.
Relief report included: 11 flowers for deceased, 9 personal visits, 120 cheer cards sent and 122 volunteer hours served.
“Almost Assassinated” was read for the Good of the Order. It was some interesting facts about the assassination of Abe Lincoln.
Next meeting will be held March 5 at the home of Melanie Baker. Refreshments were served by Judy Sanders.
