The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War Tent 91 Galion, met for the regular meeting, Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the home of Judy Sanders. Donna Yaussy took charge of the meeting in the absence of president, Cathy Brown. Cathy had eye surgery that day, was doing well, but unable to attend the meeting.

Communications included the Ohio Department General Orders #2 and “The Veteran” newsletter.

Relief report consisted of: 17 personal visits, 81 cards to shut-ins and 100 volunteer hours served.

New business brought nomination of officers. Donna Yaussy was nominated for president, Cathy Brown was nominated for junior vice president and the remainder of the officers will remain as is. Election will be held at the next meeting.

The annual Christmas Potluck and meeting will be held December 4. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m., with meeting to follow. We will again donate the money to be spent on a gift exchange to the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky.

Civil War Trivia was played for the Good of the Order. Mystery gift was won by Judy Sanders. Refreshments were served by Judy Sanders. Social time enjoyed by all.

Next meeting will be Dec. 4 at the home of Janice Cass. Dinner at 6 p.m.
