Meet at Rivercliff Cemetery to honor veterans with the color guard and speaker, Pastor Jeff Slider; noon. Continue with the program to honor veterans at Seniors on Center in Mount Gilead. All veterans are welcome with spouse. Please RSVP since seating is for 100. Entertainment from 2-4 p.m. at Seniors on Center with “Kickin’ Grass” Country and Blues band. Nov. 10

Sacred Hearts Holiday Craft Show, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Handlebar Ranch Sportsman Club, 6695 County Road 76, Mount Gilead. This is a home crafters show and proceeds are used to reduce church construction deft, support parish activities and Morrow County families in need.

Humane Society of Morrow County holding a Pet Pantry Open House. Offering food/litter. Need to bring proof of receiving JFS assistance & must be a Morrow County resident. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Located at 16 S. Main St., Mount Gilead. Email info@hsofmc.org.

Grief Workshop “Coping with Loss” for children presented by Morrow County Hospice. For ages 6-14. Games, activities, food, crafts and Wrangler the therapy dog. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Free to attend, but register by calling 419-946-9822.

Nov. 13

The next regular monthly board meeting of the Mount Gilead Exempted Village School District will be on the second Tuesday of the month, 7 p.m. at the Board of Education Office located at 145 N. Cherry Street, Mount Gilead. There will be no board of education meeting on Nov. 20.

55+ Lunch at Selover Library, Chesterville, noon. Bring a side dish if you can. Guest speaker will be Gale Martin of Marengo’s Natives in Harmony, a nursery dedicated to preserving Ohio’s native plants.

Nov. 14

The tax hearings for RITA will be at the village of Edison municipal building, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Trinity United Methodist Church Community Dinner; 5-6:45 p.m.; turkey, dressing and mashed potatoes. Includes: vegetable, choice of salad, rolls, dessert and drink. Dinners are $8 per person. No charge for children 10 and under. Dine-in or carry-out available.

Nov. 15

Perry Cook Memorial Library is hosting an Art Lab: Handmade molded paper. 6:30-7:30 p.m. Free to attend, but call to register at 419-362-7181. For teens and adults.

Movie Night, Selover Library, Chesterville, 6:30 p.m. See Incredibles II for free on a big screen. Free popcorn and bottled water.

Nov. 17

Cardington Holiday Bazaar. 9 a.m-3 p.m., Cardington-Lincoln High School.

The Morrow County Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting at the Mount Gilead Public Library Annex, 35 East High St. The program entitled “Shopping in Morrow County 1848-1987” will be presented by Stan Sipe. Meeting will begin at 2 p.m. and is open to the public.

Nov. 19

The Tomorrow Center Board of Directors will meet at 4:30 p.m., in the conference room of the Cardington-Lincoln Intermediate School. The public is invited.

Dec. 7

Annual Christmas Parade, downtown Mount Gilead, 7 p.m., Light the Night with Musical Madness; other events begin at 5 p.m., Mount Gilead Public Library and on the square.

Dec. 13

Christmas in Cardington, 5 p.m. Lights contest and prize for the best lighted house. Santa, cookies, raffles, music, Grinch, cookie decorating, ornament making, food, live Nativity. Hosted by Cardington Market.
