The Morrow County Republicans came together for a day of good food and a little political fun at The State Lakes again year. Pat Davies was the Master of Ceremonies and welcomed everyone to the event. The introduction of elected officials and recognition of the 2015 candidates was done by Dan Osborne.
Tom Whiston announced the guest speaker, 86th District State Representative, Dorothy Pelanda. Dorothy is currently serving her second full term as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives after being appointed to serve during the 129th General Assembly. Her 86th District includes Union and Marion Counties. She was elected by her colleagues to serve as the Assistant Majority Whip for the 131st General Assembly. In addition to various other duties, she serves on the House Judiciary, Commerce and Labor, Government Accountability and Oversight and Rules and Reference Committees. Dorothy told the group she has practiced law for over 30 years and is running for re-election as state representative in 2016.
