The Community Corrections Board will hold its quarterly meeting at 7:00 pm on August 13, 2015 in the Morrow County Courthouse, Courtroom #2 on the second floor. The public is welcome to attend.

Anyone residing in Morrow County may ask to serve on the Board as a community representative. The Morrow County Court of Common Pleas operates both Adult and Juvenile Probation Departments. Probation officers supervise adult and juvenile offenders using evidence based practices. Evidence based practices are proven practices shown by objective data to reduce recidivism and maintain individuals in the community rather than the more costly avenue of prison.

Probation officers also assist offenders in becoming better citizens by assisting with education and employment. The community corrections officers develop and update case plans for each person on probation. Probationers are referred to outside agencies for treatment and other assistance according to the case plan and Court requirements. The officers also monitor the payment of court costs, restitution and probation fees by the offenders. The Advisory Board assists the Court by reviewing operation of the Probation Department and making suggestions.

Members of the public who wish to attend this quarterly meeting should contact Cheryl Watts at 419-947-4515 Ext: 2263.
