The Advisory Board for the Morrow County Substance Abuse Court, also known as the Drug Court, will hold a quarterly meeting on August 13, 2015 at 6:00 pm. in the Morrow County Courthouse, Courtroom #2 on the second floor. The public is welcome to attend.

Anyone residing in Morrow County may ask to serve on the Board as a community representative. The Morrow County Court of Common Pleas operates four treatment court dockets: Treatment –in-Lieu, Adult Criminal, Juvenile and Family Dependency Treatment. The purpose of all dependency treatment dockets is to provide collaborative evaluation and treatment services. A team of individuals, made up of treatment providers, court personnel and the Judge or Magistrate meet before each court session to assess the participants progress in remaining sober and working towards set goals.

Court sessions are informal and held every two weeks. The Court closely monitors each participants progress to insure that the participant remains sober and works towards becoming a productive member of society. This program is largely funded through a grant from the Ohio Supreme Court. The Advisory Board assists the Court by reviewing operation of the Drug Court and making suggestions.

Members of the public who wish to attend this quarterly meeting should contact Cheryl Watts at 419-947-4515 Ext: 2263.
