Annual banquet and business meeting of the Morrow County Historical Society, Trinity United Methodist Church, 75 E. High St., Mount Gilead. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with a baked steak meal at 6 p.m. Reservations are $15 per person and must be paid in advance with a check or money order to Morrow County Historical Society, 17 W. High St., Mount Gilead. Deadline to reserve is April 20. A silent auction, drawing for door prizes and entertainment by the Marionaires Barbershop Quartet singers. For information call 419-946-7264.

April 28

Drug Take Back, Kroger parking lot, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Prescription medications, samples, over-the-counter medications, pet medications and vitamins accepted. Remove all prescription labels before arrival.

First Presbyterian Church, 55 N. Cherry St., Fourth Saturday Breakfast, 7-10 a.m. Made-to-order omelets will be served. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children. This month’s proceeds go to the Morrow County Community Center.

April 29

Key Ministries of Morrow County is hosting a special Singspiration at the First Baptist Church, 51 W. High St., Mount Gilead. The service, to begin at 7 p.m., will be led by Pastor Stephan Bloomfield and will feature the Baptist Brothers. The church is handicap accessible. The public is invited.

May 3-4

Seniors on Centers Annual Rummage Sale, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursday; 9 a.m.-noon, Friday; 41 W. Center St., Mount Gilead.

Church rummage sale, Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-noon, Foeller Hall, 4680 U.S. 42. Host Guild of Sacred Hearts Parish.

May 4

Spring Benefit Concert for Ohio Central Bible College, 7 p.m., Iberia Presbyterian Church, 8607 County Road 30. Featured will be “Spiritual Uplift” with gospel music singer and guitarist Paul Landis of Ashland. Refreshments will be served, and a free will offering will benefit the Christian academic programs of Ohio Central Bible College. Call Mark Phillips at 419-946-5576 for information. May 5

Omelettes for Special Olympics, hosted by Mount Gilead Masonic Lodge, First Presbyterian Church, 7-10 a.m. Serving omelettes, hash browns, toast, coffee and juice. Freewill donation.

Perennial plant swap, 6:30 p.m., rain or shine, Selover Public Library, Chesterville. Bring perennials to trade or share. There will be plenty available, so come even if you don’t have any to trade. Learn from master gardeners.

The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc. will hold its annual Senior Spring Spectacular, noon at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield. Vocal impressionist Randy Velez. General admission is $3. Tickets can be purchased prior to the event at the Area Agency on Aging office at 2131 Park Ave West, Ontario, or during regular Renaissance Theatre box office hours. Honor America. Poppy days are sponsored each year by the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary to remind us of the sacrifice of life and health made by the Armed Forces. Volunteers will accept your donations for veteran rehabilitation and child welfare work for the veterans’ families.

The 102nd Edison Alumni Banquet, Edison Enterprise Baptist Church community building. Doors open 11:30 a.m. and lunch is served at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $10 for the meal plus $2 for each alumni class being honored: 1943, 1948, 1953, 1958 and honorary class of 1963.
