Morrow, Delaware and Richland County Farm Bureaus are collaborating to host the Second Annual Flying Horse Farms – Grow it. Know it. Give it.

The event treats guests to chef prepared, locally sourced dinner at the camp. All proceeds help further the mission of Flying Horse Farms and provide operating expenses for the children’s vegetable garden.

“This camp provides experiences to children with serious illnesses,” said Andrea Bayles, Morrow County Farm Bureau Board member. “Farm Bureau is proud to support that effort with an evening of great food and friendship in a beautiful setting.”

Guests will enjoy a unique dining experience prepared by Chef Joseph Motter, Malabar Farm Restaurant chef and owner. Each of the seasonally inspired courses will be paired with a unique Ohio wine and served in the camp dining hall. This year’s menu includes a choice of smoked trout or pork risotto with seasonal vegetables and cinnamon cheesecake with local blueberries and candied bacon. Guests can also participate in camp tours.

The event takes place on August 22 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Flying Horse Farm, 5260 OH-95, Mt. Gilead. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased by contacting the Morrow County Farm Bureau at 800-327-6055. Reservations close August 17.
