Christmas music was the entertainment offered when Cardington seniors met for their monthly luncheon Dec. 15 at the Senior Center, Mount Gilead.

Introduced by Carolyn Poorman, program chairman, the Spangler Sisters with the Country Travelers providing accompaniment, sang Christmas songs. The group included Gertie and Wayne Arnold, Mary Roberts and Harold Moore. Roy Roberts assisted with the set up and moving of the equipment.

Vocal and instrumental music was performed with favorite Christmas songs in an audience sing-a-long. They also sang requests and Johnny Cash music.

Giving devotions at this meeting was Pastor Paul Turner who based them on Colossians 3:16. He said, Christ dwells in us every day but often after Christmas there is a let down. Christ brings hope and peace to us, as this verse advises.

Providing cookies were Marnie Buckel and Marlene Renz. The next meeting will be held Friday, Jan. 26. Cookies will be served by Linda Gordon and Poorman.

Reservations or cancelations for the dinner should be made by noon Thursday, Jan. 25, by calling 419-946-4191.
