The Morrow County History Center, 17 W. High St., Mount Gilead, will be open extra hours; 5-7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, prior to the special shows across the street at the Capitol Theatre. A display of 1950s-60s items will be on display. In observance of Veterans Day the museum will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. The museum’s Military Room tells the story of the service and sacrifice of Morrow County residents who served in the armed forces. Admission is free.

Jenkins-Vaughan Post 97 of the American Legion is hosting its annual Veterans Day dinner. All Morrow County veterans and their families are invited to be guests with a roast beef dinner at 6:30 p.m. followed by the evening’s program at 7:30 p.m. Reservations are requested by Nov. 7 and can be made by calling Jim Crawford, at 419-946-8911.
