JOHNSVILLE — The Perry Cook Memorial Public Library Board of Trustees is looking for a new member.

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of the Perry Cook Memorial Public Library, a small, rural library serving the Northmor School District. The Board sets library policies, reviews and approves the annual budget, and determines the general direction of the library.

Applicant should be a patron of the library, or part of the Perry Cook Memorial Public Library community. Applicants should be dedicated to the principles and philosophy of a tax-funded public library.

The position is a seven-year term, to begin Jan. 1, 2018. The Board meets once a month on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. Special meetings may be required from time to time, and the successful applicant should be able to attend training as necessary.

The Library Board position is a voluntary position. As such, no per diem or mileage will be paid and there are no “perks” other than the pleasure of serving the community.

Interested parties may pick up an application at the library or request one electronically ([email protected])

Application period closes Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 6 p.m. You may contact Director Patricia Dollisch with questions via phone 419-362-7181 or e-mail [email protected].
