MOUNT GILEAD — The Morrow County Quilting Guild will host a quilt show, Garden of Quilts, Saturday, Oct. 7 and Sunday, Oct. 8 in the Park Avenue Elementary School gym.

The show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The public is invited. There is a free will donation accepted.

More than 150 quilts will be on display, including one large hand-quilted one that the guild will raffle. Drawing is 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Winner need not be present to win. A quilters’ sale table and a silent auction will take place.

Linda Miller will be the honored quilter for the show. She is a founding member of the guild and a special display will showcase some of her quilts.

The guild began in 1992. The guild shares workshops, show-and-tell, challenge quilts and special projects. It also donates quilts to Heartbeat of Morrow County and to local veterans.

The guild welcomes quilt lovers of all skill levels. Meetings are on the third Saturday of the month at 9:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church on North Cherry Street.
