CARDINGTON — The annual new member orientation was conducted by the Cardington FFA on Aug. 9 for students in grades eight and nine who are interested in the agriculture program.

Students were divided into their FFAmilies to go to different stations led by the 2017-18 FFA officer team. The students learned ways of working and communicating with each other that helps achieve a goal.

Following the orientation the annual pool party was held at the Cardington swimming pool. Cardington FFA students were invited to swim and have a great time.

Members who donated money to Children’s Hospital or won the belly flop contest during the party had the privilege of pie-in an officer of their choice.

Overall, the evening was a huge success and chapter members are looking forward to a great new school year.
