A special Morrow County Red Cross Centennial display is available for the public with showings at the Morrow County History Center, 17 W. High St., Mount Gilead, during the Sweet Corn Festival this weekend.

Several items spanning the decades will be on display. Hours are Friday from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. It is free to attend.

Red Cross volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions and to provide information about two new Red Cross Programs. “Sound the Alarm” provides free smoke detector installation and “The Pillowcase Project” where grade school students make and decorate their own emergency preparedness sack.

The Morrow County Chapter of the American Red Cross has been responding to local crises such as flooding, tornadoes and fires since 1917.
