Narcotics complaint

A Knox County man was arrested behind Subway on a warrant and he was also charged with possession of drug abuse instruments.

Property damage

Staff at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles reported a vehicle backed into their building causing damage. Police cited a woman for improper backing.

Threats made

Police talked to a woman who said a man she was in a custody battle with had threatened her via phone and text. Police then spoke to him and advised him to discontinue making threats toward the woman.

Property damage

A motorist was traveling northbound on North Main Street when a tire broke loose and struck another vehicle causing damage.

Burglary reported

A West High Street resident reported a burglary.

June 20

Cell phone taken

A woman reported a cell phone, valued at $180, was taken from an unlocked vehicle several days earlier.

911 hang up

Officers checked into what appeared to be an argument between a man and a woman after receiving a 911 hangup call. They began arguing again and the parties were advised to stay away from each other the rest of the evening.

June 19

Domestic complaint

Officers investigated an issue involving a man and a woman. No arrests were made.

Non-injury accident

A man said the driver of a truck struck his vehicle in the parking lot at Gilead Christian School.

Theft

An employee at Duke & Duchess reported a counterfeit $20 bill was used. Police took the bill to have it analyzed.

Tree limb blocks road

Police responded to the report of a large tree limb blocking the roadway at Westview Drive and Baker Street. A telephone cable belonging to CenturyLink was involved and the company was called to repair it.

June 18

Counterfeit/theft

Employees at Duke & Duchess reported a counterfeit $50 was attempted to be used at the store.

June 17

Animal welfare

A woman left her dogs in the vehicle while she was in Kroger for about 20 minutes. The windows were rolled part of the way down and the animals were fine.

Drug charges

A woman was found unconscious and unresponsive on West High Street. She regained consciousness and was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. A man at the scene was arrested for an active warrant.

June 16

Traffic blocked

A semi became stuck at East High Street near the state park entrance. A backhoe was able to get the truck off the roadway.

Drugs found

Officers assisted the Morrow County Sheriff with a drug searching using K9 Officer Nik at State Route 42 and County Road 25. The dog discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

June 15

Driving under suspension

A woman was cited for driving under suspension at East Union Street and Home Road.

Narcotics arrest

A man was arrested for attempting to bring a marijuana pipe into the Morrow County Jail.

Driving under suspension

A man was cited for driving under suspension and no front plate on West High Street.

June 14

A man was arrested on multiple charges including driving under the influence, open container, fictitious plates and possession of drug paraphernalia.
