The “Gift of the Magi” focuses on Della and Jim, a couple who are struggling financially. Della’s most prized possession is her beautiful long hair and Jim’s is his pocket watch.

It’s Christmas and the couple has very little money and cannot afford to buy gifts for each other. Unbeknown to each other, Della sells her hair and Jim sells his watch so each can afford to buy the other a Christmas gift. Della, however, buys Jim a watch chain and Jim purchases hair combs for Della.

The moral of the story concerns the sacrifices that people make for each other.

The production is directed by Kenneth Barnett.
