Mothers Forum members brought Rice Krispie pumpkin treats to the Mount Gilead Story hour Tuesday as part of the club’s achievement program this year. As a sponsor of the library, it was a natural fit for club members to take part in the children’s story hour. And several members have grandchildren who attend the story hour.

Part of the purpose of the Ohio Child Conservation League (OCCL) is recognition of the child as the most valuable asset of the nation. 2017 will be the 70th year that Mothers Forum is a chapter of the OCCL.

Story hour for preschool children has been a tradition at the Mount Gilead Library for more than 40 years. Story hour leader, Lori White has been teaching the story hour for almost half those years. She thanked club members for bringing a treat for the 20 children who attended Tuesday.
