The Morrow County Chamber of Commerce heard plans at their meeting Monday for a Santa House for the Morrow County Christmas parade. The Parade will be held on December 2nd and the House will be on the Square in Mount Gilead. Chamber Director, Cathy Francis introduced Life Scout, Kenton Kunze of Troop 56 who will be building the Santa House.

Kunze is working towards his Eagle Scout award and needs $1,000 to build it. He did a car wash and earned $150 to begin buying materials. He received a 50 percent discount from Lowes to do the project. He thanked the Chamber for the additional $350 that was received at the meeting and he continues to accept donations for the project. Donations can be made for the project at the Chamber of Commerce.

Francis opened the floor for announcements that started with move by Pizzaburg to a new location. Pizzaburg has been at the present location by Save-a-Lot for three years and has outgrown the location. They will be moving to the Old World Deli building across from the fairgrounds.

Chamaber upcoming events include the Magic of Morrow Annual Chamber Dinner Thursday, Oct. 20 and the Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening on Wed. Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. for The Barn, a new venue for Chamber Members All Occasions In Waldo.

Information was given to members about the Replacement levies for Seniors and Tri-Rivers, and Renewal Levy for Mental Health & Recovery.
