The Mount Gilead High School Class of 1956 celebrated the 60th anniversary of its graduation at the Handle Bar Ranch in August.

There were 28 class members and one former class member who attended the event.

Special guests for the evening included Gene West and his daughter Kathy Fogle. West was a teacher and coach for many of the class members during their high school years.

Roger Beck of Handle Bar Ranch provided a buffett dinner, for which MGHS alum Harry Arnold provided fresh fish.

Gene Dumbaugh acted as MC for the event and auctioned off a white elephant gift for those in attendance. Mary Jo Ansley Bowman lead a memorial for Ralph Johnson, Vonnie Wiseman Hull, Jim Sweeney and Sondra Williams Beck, all have passed away since the last reunion. Jane Andrews Benson lead the pre-meal blessing.
