The Cardington Community Food Pantry distributed 100,718 pounds of food during the first six months of 2016.

In July 2016, the Cardington Food Pantry serviced 490 families accounting 1540 people.

Food is distributed on the first four Wednesdays of each month from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Cardington Community Food Pantry located at the First United Methodist Church, 300 South Marion Street in Cardington.

Our normal produce distribution is the fourth Friday of each month at the same location.

The food pantry is entirely supported through donations of local individuals, businesses, civic organizations, and seven community churches including First United Methodist Church, Cardington Church of the Nazarene, Fairview United Methodist , Center United Methodist, St. John Lutheran, Windfall, Vineyard Church of Morrow County and Gilead Friends.

The Cardington Food Pantry would also recognize Gabbi Kelly, who chose the gift of food pantry items in replace of traditional birthday presents. Gabbi’s birthday gifts became gifts for her community.
