While the FFA is most active during school, the summer can also bring fun times for members. The Cardington FFA Chapter brought 19 students to FFA Camp Muskingum from July 11-15.

This camp brings together members from chapters within the same district and allows the students to mix

and mingle while learning leadership skills. The State FFA officers were also there to lead groups, giving them a chance to connect with members.

The theme for camp this year was the “Olympics,” with the camp staff, students and officers all participating in activities related to the Olympic Games.

Along with that, students could choose from different “classes” such as rifle shooting, swimming, volleyball, archery and dancing.

When they had free time, students could meet with their friends and play a game of basketball, go kayaking in the lake, or throw some Frisbees.

Overall, those attending the camp were able to make some new friends and learn

more about what it means to be a leader.
