The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Cardington resident, Joshua DeWitt, 23, in connection with the armed robbery that occured last week at the Marathon Gas Station in Marengo.
In the early morning hours of June 24, at approximately 3:14 a.m., a white male subject came into the store brandishing a firearm to the store clerk, demanding money.
The subject then fled the scene.
The work of Dectective Chris Smith and the Morrow County Special Response Team lead to the Office executing a search warrant on July 2 in Harmony Township.
Joshua DeWitt Cardington was then taken into custody in connection with the incident.
DeWitt is currently incarcerated in the Morrow County Correctional Facility, charged with Aggravated Robbery, a felony.
