People who attended Cardington schools will recall that when they were in third grade, high school FFA students led them around the high school campus to pet cattle and ride horses.

This year, again, in late May, FFA members hosted their annual ‘Food for America Day’ during which they led over 90 third graders to 19 different agricultural stations located around the school.

Each station was a different aspect of agriculture, from tractors to turkeys and woodwork to wildlife. FFA students manned the stations and gave the third graders a little lesson about their topic.

They also received small mementos from different stations and were given a booklet about farm safety.
