Mount Gilead’s boys’ basketball got off to a fast start at KMAC-leading Northmor Wednesday night, taking an early 7-2 lead, holding an advantage for most the first quarter and exiting it tied with the Golden Knights at 17.

Buckeye Valley was able to make a couple late runs to hold off the Highland boys on Tuesday night by a 61-49 margin.

A late surge by the Cardington Lady Pirates was enough to boost them past visiting Northmor by a 44-37 margin on Friday night and keep them at the top of the KMAC standings.

Once again, the Mount Gilead swim team competed in two meets. The team was part of a six-team meet on Jan. 17 hosted by Marion Harding. The boys were 3rd and the girls were 5th.
