Retaining walls that last — It’s in the ‘batter’

0

It’s tragic to spend the time and money to build a retaining wall only to have it fail. Unstable walls can be dangerous; at the very least they are a discouraging waste of resources. Over the years we’ve seen far too many of these “hardscape fails”, and they have certain things in common. Here’s how to avoid some of the most frequent mistakes.

Different way to look at retaining walls

Building decorative garden walls is very satisfying and rewarding, as well as being good exercise. We define “decorative” or “landscape” walls as wall less than two feet high. Ohio is on the move, and we are once again showing the world that the combination of know-how, strong pro-growth policies, and world-class higher education can spur economic growth and create jobs. In just the past year, huge new projects from Intel, Honda, and others have validated this approach, and our state’s leaders deserve recognition for helping make it possible.
