Marion Goodwill opens new outlet store
Marion Goodwill Industries is pleased to announce the opening of its first-ever Goodwill Outlet Store. Located in Marion, inside its corporate headquarters, the outlet store is designed to provide shoppers an opportunity to purchase merchandise by the pound and at greatly reduced prices.

Area ninth graders attend career expo
On Friday, Oct. 27, over 350 Morrow County ninth graders attended the second annual MoCo Career Expo. Students from Cardington, Gilead Christian, Highland, homeschool, Mt. Gilead, and Northmor were in attendance. The event was held at the Morrow County Fairgrounds and Gilead Christian School/Gilead Friends Church.
Friends of Cardington working on new sign
The Cardington Village Council discussed the possible donation and placement of a new sign from the Friends of Cardington at its Nov. 6 meeting.
Ceremony honors veterans
The public square in Mount Gilead was the scene of the Veterans Day observance on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m., the exact hour the Armistice was signed at the end of World War I.
Woodside Village Care Center celebrates veterans
Navy veteran Bob Orewiler was persistent in asking for a POW/MIA flag to fly with the American flag in front of Woodside Village Care Center in Mount Gilead. On Friday, Nov. 10, Orewiler got his wish along with nine other veterans at Woodside.
Ohio in peak time for deer-related wrecks
AAA, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ohio Department of Insurance, Ohio Department of Transportation, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission want to remind motorists of the increase in deer-related traffic crashes this time of year.

Rotary Club donates dictionaries
Since 1995, the Cardington Rotary Club has participated in the Third Grade Dictionary Project and donated hundreds of dictionaries to students at four Morrow County schools: Cardington-Lincoln, Gilead Christian, Highland and Mount Gilead.
CIC comes to aid of American Legion
The American Legion has been active in the Cardington community for over a century. Recently, the building’s roof had begun to fail and after several short-term fixes, it was needing a permanent replacement before this winter. The cost for the project was estimated to be $30,000.
