Blood donors at the Marengo Bloodmobile on Oct. 6 we treated with a little surprise. When they entered the canteen area, donors were offered homemade cupcakes and fall snacks along with the usual canteen refreshments.

MORPC holds Summit on Sustainability

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A sold-out crowd of 600 attendees gathered Oct. 26 at the Hilton Downtown Columbus for the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission’s (MORPC) annual signature environmental conference, the Summit on Sustainability. This year’s summit brought together leaders to explore and share sustainable solutions and to celebrate individuals and collaborative efforts making a difference in central Ohio. This year’s event theme − Collaborate. Innovate. Inspire. − featured breakout sessions in which speakers explored sustainability through the lens of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Schools introduce Lifewise

Lifewise Academy, described as “Bible based character education,” is being introduced in all four public school districts in Morrow County this year. The program is privately funded with no fees for the children and no costs to the school districts or taxpayers. The program is held in churches offsite during school release time.

CLHS crowns queen, king

Cardington-Lincoln High School conducted its 77th Homecoming on Friday, Oct. 13, under the direction of Spirit Club Advisor Kirsten Ebert. The freshman, sophomore, and junior attendants for the ceremony were Dezzeray Mooney escorted by David Ireland, Haylee Stainer escorted by Brennan Marks, and Rylee Donkin escorted by AJ Brehm.
