Passenger rail step closer to returning to central Ohio
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Federal Railroad Administration has approved two applications for central Ohio to be part of the Corridor Identification and Development (Corridor ID) Program, a comprehensive planning and development program that will help to guide intercity passenger rail development throughout the country and create a pipeline of projects to support future service.

Aero at the Dayton International Airport on Tuesday, Dec. 12, as the excitement continues to build for the 2024 CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show presented by Kroger. The show will be held on June 23 and 24. Zoo announces conservation initiatives
POWELL — The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and The Wilds have announced a significant milestone in the organization’s transformative journey from being two of the nation’s premier zoological facilities to becoming a much more impactful wildlife conservation institution.
Christmas in Cardington to be held Dec. 14
Downtown Cardington will be lit up with red and green, decorated with wreaths on telephone poles, and open for business on Thursday, Dec. 14, from 5-8 p.m. for the annual Christmas in Cardington event.
MOESC hosts Academic Challenge Tournament
The Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center (MOESC) was proud to host the Fall Academic Challenge Tournament in person on Nov. 16-17 following the fall league, which was held virtually on Oct. 23, Nov. 6, and Nov. 13. This year, MOESC divided districts between two days for the tournament to accommodate more students.

Adventures from Amsterdam to Budapest
We were flying with Lufthansa at 38,000 feet, 453 mph with outside air temperature at minus 69 degrees. As we were hurtling through the air on our return flight, the airplane’s movie sound was garbled, and it was more entertaining to watch the flight tracker and look back over photos of our three-week trip from The Hague and Amsterdam to Vienna and Budapest.
