The third annual Cardington Wine and Arts Festival will take place in American Legion Park Saturday, Sept. 21, from noon to 8 p.m. Friends of Cardington is organizer of this event with Rick Mitchell, owner of Bunker’s Mill Winery, being the chairman of the committee.
The park area will be lined with craft vendors that will be selling items such as barn quilts, blankets, custom woodworking, many art pieces, homemade products, and much more. The main stage in the park will feature the entertainment for the day from music to trivia for those in attendance. A special sale of artwork and paintings created by the late Joanne Mathews will be for sale inside the park’s log cabin.
Twelve wine establishments from all across Ohio will be present on Saturday. They are Coté Winery, Shamrock Vineyard, Rhetoric Brewing, Wishmaker Winery, Funky Turtle Brewing Company, Bokes Creek Winery, Plum Run Winery, Lincoln Way Vineyards, CLE Urban Winery, Ugly Bunny Winery, Oak and Brazen, and Bunker’s Mill Winery. Six food trucks (Riverside Ice Cream, Kings Krossing, Gyro Corner, Apple Dumpling Gang, Chef Shack and Sweet Cheeks) will be parked along both sides of Park Avenue for guests to get a bite to eat.
Costs for those to attend are $20 for the commemorative glass and eight tickets. Patrons are required by the committee to purchase the glass if they do not bring theirs from past festivals. Additional tickets are $2 each or six tickets for $10 and additional glasses are $5.
